The all-in-one stereo compressor/limiter and expander is an exceptional dynamic processor for controlling the amplitude of your sound signal during studio recordings or live performances in a concert hall. Thanks to its rapid dynamic processing, it allows you to adjust the sound of a track by compressing the dynamics, changing the timbre, and reducing the audio signal gain as soon as it exceeds the defined threshold level.
It is equipped with hard and soft functions, ratio, and "Attack" and "Release" controls, allowing you to adjust the nominal operating range to automatically adapt to the track being processed. A complete automatic mode is also available.
It provides 2 channels of compression that can be controlled and adjusted independently as a mono processor or as a linked stereo pair. The SCL2 also includes an expander that reduces and cleans up the noise level, which can be switched to "Expander" or "Gate" mode.
It features LED indicators that instantly show you the gain reduction and output level when they reach the selected threshold. The ART stereo compressor/limiter and expander is designed for 1U rack mounting and is powered via an IEC input on the rear panel.
