Compared to the previous version, the fourth generation Scarlett 2i2 features a new front panel with 6.3mm inputs and XLR inputs on the rear. The mic preamps provide higher gain, making it suitable for a wider variety of microphones.
In addition, this USB audio interface incorporates Clip Safe and Auto Gain technologies, ensuring quality sound recording without distortion. A new level display makes it easier to adjust levels with a dynamic halo of light around the gain and volume controls.
The AIR mode has been updated and now offers a Presence mode and a Harmonic Drive mode for more flexibility, while the converters now provide a dynamic range of 120 dB compared to 108 dB for the third generation.
